What is AddressHero?

AddressHero is a Shopify app that validates and corrects shipping addresses – automatically, at checkout and post-purchase. It catches errors before they cause failed deliveries, returns, and unnecessary logistics costs.

What does it do?

AddressHero works in two stages:

1. In-Checkout Validation
While the customer is filling in their shipping address, AddressHero checks for format errors in real time – missing house numbers, invalid characters, packing stations without a client ID, and more. If an error is detected, the customer sees a clear message and must correct it before completing the purchase.

2. Post-Checkout Validation
After the order is placed, AddressHero validates the full address against official routing databases (Google Maps, Deutsche Post AddressFactory). If an error is found, the customer is prompted on the Thank You page to correct their address. The app can also automatically correct spelling errors without any customer action.
